Accessibility

Our Commitment

Leeds Bradford Airport is committed to ensuring its website is accessible to as many visitors as possible, regardless of physical ability or software.

Standards Compliance

This site is built using progressive enhancement HTML5.

The site uses valid CSS3 for visual layout and styling.

The site uses structured semantic markup. For example, table markup is used for data tables, lists are marked up using lists elements, headings are marked up as headings and so on.

Data tables employ attributes associating data cells with their headers to allow them to be more easily understood by users of screen readers and other adaptive technology.

Images

All content images on the site use descriptive ALT attributes where appropriate.

Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.

Visual Design

All text is sized using relative sizes to allow re-sizing by users of any browser (press ctrl+ to zoom in and ctrl- to zoom out).

Important information is laid out clearly and in bold lettering to draw attention.

The website has been created using responsive design which provides an optimal viewing experience no matter what device is used.

The website is subject to continuous improvement to ensure that it is simple to use whether viewed using a desktop computer, a tablet or a mobile phone.

With the exception of purely visual elements such as maps, primary content is structured so as to be readable in any browser, regardless of whether it supports images, stylesheets, scripting or plugins.
