Lost property

Losing any of your valuables is unpleasant, but if you’ve lost an item at Leeds Bradford Airport we may be able to help you get it back.


All missing bag enquiries should be directed to your Airline or their associated handling agent. This depends on which Airline you have flown with:

Jet2 – email LBABaggage@jet2.com or call their customer services on 0113 2387334

For all other Airlines – contact Swissport your Airline’s handling agent. Please email lbalost.baggage@swissport.com

If you have left any of your belongings on board an aircraft then you need to contact your airline directly as soon as possible.

Lost property in and around the airport

If you think you’ve lost something in and around the terminal including our car parks, the best way to contact the Lost Property department is by email and you should provide your name, contact details and a full description of your lost property to:

All emails will be responded to within 5 working days of receipt.


Collecting airport lost property

If you wish for someone else to collect an item on your behalf, please inform the department, by either email or telephone, of the full name of the person coming to collect the item(s). Please note, arriving at the airport without arranging the collection of an item may result in a delay in locating and returning your property due to the busy nature of the department

Property stored by the Lost Property department can be claimed as follows:

Credit / debit cards and passports

Passports are retained for a period of 4 weeks from the date of loss, before being returned to the Passport Office. All bank/credit cards will be securely destroyed after 24 hours of loss.

All other lost property

All lost property, excluding those outlined above, will be kept for a period of 4 weeks. After this time the lost property will become an unclaimed item. Please see below for more information. 

Unclaimed items

Unclaimed items after the above periods from the date of loss will be disposed of responsibly and personal data removed from the property and securely destroyed.
