We were last week pleased to welcome a team of bid ambassadors for the Leeds 2023 European Capital of Culture to the terminal.
For two days, representatives and volunteers from the #MakeLeeds2023 team were in check-in hall A, talking with passengers and staff about the importance and opportunity of the bid for the region. Fantastic goodies and information were given out to people ahead of their flights departing from LBA. Our terminal team members are wearing the badges of support every day.
LBA is the proud travel partner for Leeds 2023 and as the submission of the bid in October draws closer, the #MakeLeeds2023 team will be doing even more around the region to ensure that as many people pledge their support as possible.
Kayley Worsley, PR and Public Affairs Manager at LBA, said: “This is a huge chance for the city and the wider region to share its success worldwide. We’re very pleased to be involved, it was great to see the #MakeLeeds2023 team creating a fantastic buzz in the terminal talking about the bid.”
The campaign was launched last month and people are being asked to support the bid by pledging support. To find out more about our partnership and how the region is getting behind the bid.
