We are working with Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Bradford Council to provide travel and access improvements for passengers coming to Yorkshire’s Airport. Reflecting the airport investment in new facilities and planned expansion, a new Parkway rail station and three road access improvements have all been proposed to meet the region’s ambitions.
The consultation is open until the 12th April and more information can be found on the West Yorkshire Combined Authority website.

New stations and new links
A public consultation showed that improved rail links were a high priority for the region and accessibility would be best served building a new Parkway rail station on the Harrogate line. A regular shuttle bus would take you to the terminal building from the near-by location and the station can be used to park and ride into Leeds, Harrogate or connecting stations too.
The busiest station in the north, Leeds Station has already started its expansion with new timetables, changing the face of the New Station Street entrance and other improvements to help accommodate passenger growth.

Linking to the roads
Driving to the airport will be improved with one of the following road route options too:
- Option A – A new road and cycleway from the A65, running to the east of the airport and joining the A658 to the north.
- Option B - A new road and cycleway from the A65, running to the south west of the airport and joining the A658 before the road’s tunnel.
- Option C – Upgrading the A65 and A658 around Yeadon and Rawdon with junction improvements and road widening.
