Top UK Airport for On-Time Performance

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) named Leeds Bradford Airport as the UK airport with the highest percentage of on-time flights earlier this year.

These figures were based on Q3 of 2015 and it was the second consecutive quarter in which we were named as holding this prestigious spot. Performance statistics were measured at five London airports and 19 regional airports; which also named us as having the best year-on-year improvement. 

Simon Whitby, Operations Director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We work very closely with our airline partners to deliver these high results and are working hard to remain high in the CAA rankings for on-time performance. A total of 84% of our flights were on time Q3 2015, which shows our commitment to deliver the very best service for our customers.” 

Jennifer Young, Head of Visit Leeds, added: “Being on time is critical. Many visitors to Leeds have really strict itineraries and consequently delays would cause major inconvenience. I am not surprised by the news that LBA has such a high-performance levels and this is yet another reason why choosing Leeds means you can maximise your time in the city whether visiting for business or leisure.”
